Located 22km from Monestiés, the Episcopal City of Albi has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2010. The ancient episcopal palace, of rare power and the imposing cathedral, erected in the thirteenth century, are the two flagship monuments, counted among the largest constructions of baked brick in the world. The brick creates this urban atmosphere so singular, it is the architectural signature of the Episcopal City. 4 historic districts, of medieval origin, surround the two brick giants (Cathedral and Episcopal Palace).
